Witch Face Makeup
Witch costumes are one of the most popular costume choices for Halloween. They come in a variety of styles, and can be purchased from specialty Halloween shops or from a department store. A witch costume can be saucy, sweet or scary, and much more fun to wear if you design and make it yourself.
The scary witch is the style most associated with Halloween. This look can be achieved with just a few makeup tricks and accessories. Paint your face, neck and hands with green face paint. Line the eyes with black eyeliner pencil, then fill in the eyebrows to give them a bushy look. Make faux molds on the face with a brown eyeliner pencil. Pluck hairs from a cheap paintbrush, then glue them to the center of the mold with special adhesive. Attach spiders and faux spiderwebs to a black dress with safety pins. Use a black tablecloth tied around the neck for the witch’s cape. Wear a spider necklace with matching earrings. Paint gray streaks throughout your long hair using specialty hair paint. If you don’t have long hair, then purchase a black wig that can be streaked. Many stores offer inexpensive witch hats. Add a Halloween pin to the witch hat for a touch of pizazz. Wear a pair of black boots under the dress, and use the kitchen broom for a prop. Once the look is all pulled together, finish by painting the nails black.
